From 10:00–11:00 AM, we’ll begin with Coffee & Conversations—a relaxed, informal hour to connect with peers, share tutoring experiences, and exchange favorite books, activities, and strategies. Feel free to bring along a resource or idea that has worked well with your student. Tutors will be grouped by grade range: K-2 and 3-5 for sharing.
From 11:00 AM–12:00 PM, the session will shift to a focused instructional workshop on supporting students’ comprehension of texts. This portion will explore practical, easy-to-use strategies tutors can apply during sessions to help students better understand, discuss, and engage with what they read.
Tutors are welcome to attend either portion or stay for the full two hours but kindly let Kathleen know via email if you’ll only attend a portion so we can have an accurate head count for each session.
