Description

We look to the results of election polls in hope of projecting the outcome of an election. Using “live” computer simulations, we will discuss (in a non-technical way) many challenges pollsters face in terms of choosing individuals to be pooled, choosing the size of their surveys, and weighting responses to match likely voting population. Although not endorsing any one poll, the instructor will lay out features that a high quality poll should have and voters should know in assessing polling results.
