Description

Dr. Fox has been involved in the telescope’s launch, commissioning, and ongoing research as an instrument scientist at the Space Telescope Science Institute. He’ll give us a behind-the-scenes look at the $10-billion telescope from its launch to its first looks deep into space and time. He’ll display some of the magnificent images produced by the telescope and discuss both them and some of the instrument’s freshest data. The fascinating science that has already emerged from Webb has shown us some of the farthest galaxies and new kinds of supernovae.
