This class will focus on a multitude of national topics including, defunding the police, reimagining the police, training and recruitment issues facing law enforcement, independent police and prosecutor involvement in use of force cases, legislative proposals at state local and national levels . The scope of the class will be influenced by the developing public conversation on police reform which could be influenced by the presidential election and selection of a new justice to the Supreme Court.
