Description
There are many disasters mentioned in the Bible, from the Flood through the Tower of Babel to the destruction of Jerusalem and the 1st Temple and even after. In this class we will read some of the stories of disaster, will see if there is a common thread connecting all of them and what is also unique about each story. An important part of the study of disaster is to see whether there is a message for us, in modernity, in these stories and whether we have learned what the story wants to teach us.
