Often the stage setting creates imaginary moments utilizing dream sequences to propel the plot. Some examples such as the dream ballet in Oklahoma to Tevye's dream in Fiddler on the Roof are two examples of creative use of imagination and fantasy. Let’s explore these with musical theater expert Steve Friedman and see how far our imaginations can take us.
