Description
Montgomery County has had a remarkable history since its founding Sept. 6, 1776. Join us for a walking tour of Rockville, Montgomery County’s seat of government, to highlight points of interest telling the county’s 250-year history. The tour will be entirely on downtown sidewalks with several street crossings; 7 blocks total (approximately 3/4 of mile altogether). Audio headsets will be provided.
Participants are responsible for their own transportation and will meet at the new Montgomery History Center, located at 4 Courthouse Square, Rockville (corner of Montgomery Avenue and Washington Street, opposite the Rockville Police Station). Metered street parking available or at Rockville Garage B, entrance at 36 Maryland Avenue. The location is also accessible from the Rockville Metro station.
