Description

(This is a discussion-based class with brief advance reading.)

Of all of America’s leading founders, none has declined in popularity in recent years as much as Thomas Jefferson. This session will explore Jefferson’s original hold on the American public as well as the reasons behind his falling popularity and the prospects that his influence could make a comeback. George Washington University Professor Denver Brunsman will lead a conversation about ideas expressed in an e-mailed prereading. The goal will be to get the group involved in asking questions and exploring issues.

Articles will be sent to registered participants a week in advance.  NOTE:  if you register less than 7 days before the class, please send an email to [email protected] to have the articles sent to you.
