Description
Medieval Jewish thinkers entered into deep disagreement in part because they were Jewish, but also because they advocated different philosophical approaches to understanding the nature of reality, knowledge, and ethics. While the Torah and Talmud provided frameworks, thinkers like Maimonides, Judah HaLevi, and Philo adopted very different means of seeking knowledge. See related classes #520, 605, and 637.
