Description
This presentation will compare contemporaries: French Impressionist Claude Monet and American master Winslow Homer. Although the two never met, their careers followed a similar course, starting with scenes of leisure activities—in Monet’s case, often featuring his wife Camille, while Homer painted a still unidentified model over and over again. But both ultimately focused on nature, particularly the drama and power of the sea which they loved.
