Montgomery County is home to many accomplished sports figures, including Katie Ledecky, Dominique Dawes, Tim Kurkjian, Mike Curtis and Bob Milloy. These are names with which you may be familiar but there are many more athletes, coaches and contributors with really interesting stories of achievement that are noteworthy. The Montgomery County Sports Hall of Fame was created in 2019 to honor and recognize superior individual achievement in the realm of sports. Since its inception, the Hall of Fame has inducted 22 individuals. Trish Heffelfinger, Joe Yasharoff and Bob Milloy will discuss how it all got started and the incoming Class of 2023 which includes ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt. Come prepared with your list of prospective candidates and try to stump Coach Milloy who knows just about everyone who has shined in Montgomery County’s rich sports history.
