Description

This group meets bi-weekly.  Let’s enjoy being together in the beautiful outdoors.  We will walk in some familiar locations, such as the C&O Canal, Locust Grove, and Seneca Creek State Park. There will be two Oasis members leading each walk. Walk terrain is mostly flat, natural surface, with some small inclines and steps. Walkers will leave promptly at 10:30 am, so plan to arrive and park before then. In case of anything more than light rain, the walk is canceled.

Address of Walk Locations:
Locust Grove – 7777 Democracy Blvd, Bethesda, MD 20817. Restrooms are available in the Tennis Center. The terrain is mostly natural surface. Some trails are hilly and require caution with elevations.
Meeting Place: In front of the Tennis Bubble.

Old Angler’s Inn – 10801 MacArthur Boulevard, Potomac, MD 20854. The terrain is mostly flat, natural surface, with some small inclines and steps. There are restrooms available onsite.
Meeting Place: Parking lot across from the Old Angler’s Inn

Seneca Creek State Park – 11950 Clopper Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20878
Meeting Place: Playground, near the restrooms and parking area between the Expo Field and the Pines Picnic Area.
Directions from park entrance:
Go through the guard station, no payment required
Turn right on the first street
Go ¼ – ½ mile, see Playground on the left side.
Turn into parking area just before playground
