Description
Walter Sickert was a follower of James A.M. Whistler’s tonalism and Edgar Degas’s realism. Using an Impressionist technique, Sickert and his colleagues painted the theatres, streets, parks, people and interiors of London. They could be controversial in their color, impressionist technique and urban subject matter.
