Description
Ever since Thomas Jefferson wrote to the Danbury Connecticut Baptist Convention and outlined his views on the importance of separating church and state, the role of religion in American politics and government has been a matter of controversy. This presentation will provide an historical overview of the issue of church and state and discuss the current divisions in our society and government over the proper role of religion in public life.
