Description
The awesome skies of summer provide many opportunities to view a wide range of unique features. These features, known collectively as atmospheric optics, occur when light interacts with water drops, dust and ice crystals. Common atmospheric optics include blue skies, white clouds and red sunsets. We will also investigate and view examples of rarer events such as rainbows, crepuscular rays, mirages, halos, sundogs and glories.
