Description
Although perhaps better known for writing tales of terror, Edgar Allan Poe always considered himself primarily a poet, and many of his greatest poems are dedicated to the loves of his life, including his first love, his wife, and the woman he was engaged to at the time of his death. This talk will reveal the identities of and tell the stories behind the women who inspired some of Poe’s most beautiful and enigmatic verses. Maybe we will even uncover the real Annabel Lee.
