Description

The Middle East begins its tenth year of Arab Spring unrest.  It now has the top three contributing countries (Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq) to a world record number of refugees.   Its top global commodity, oil, is at a fragile low in price and weakening consumer demand.   And Israel is making peace without Palestinians.  The United States faces growing challenges in national political and economic healing, international challenges to its leadership, and a global pandemic.
