Description
Travel to the heights of the Peruvian Andes to the spectacular archaeological site of Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Over the centuries, Machu Picchu has acquired archaeological and historical importance of mythic and symbolic significance. We’ll tour the main structures of this lost city and we’ll also discuss contemporary issues of world cultural heritage, including policies regarding the environment and the impact of tourism and the repatriation of artifacts.
