Description
United States foreign policy toward Israel and Iran are at the center of the current crisis in the Mideast. This presentation will seek to explain the historical relationship between the United States and Israel and Iran and assess the economic, regional and global impact of the military decisions of the Trump administration on the relationship with both countries. There will also be a discussion of Jewish-American lobbying efforts to support Israel and the political tensions in Congress over foreign aid disbursements and the electoral positions toward Israel of members running for reelection.
