Waiver of Liability

I, for myself and my executors, administrators and assignees do hereby release and discharge Oasis, its sponsors and all agents and persons acting for and on behalf of such entities from all claims or damages, demands or actions whatsoever in any manner related to or growing out of my participation in programs sponsored by Oasis including but not limited to: educational, cultural, volunteer, physical fitness related programs and travel in any form.

I understand and acknowledge that in the time of COVID, it is not possible to guarantee no risks from in-person activities.  I agree to follow these health protocols for attending Oasis in-person programs:

  • I will provide proof of vaccination to Oasis before attending an in-person program at Oasis.  [Please note: Your vaccination status will be noted in our online database and used only for the purposes of minimizing the risk of exposure to COVID-19 to our staff, volunteers, other participants, and any other stakeholders].
  • I will follow Oasis’s indoor mask requirements in place at the time of my class.
  • I will stay home if in the 14 days preceding the program if I have tested positive for COVID, had a known or suspected COVID exposure, or have been asked to isolate or quarantine by a health care professional.
  • I will stay home if I experience COVID symptoms the day of the program. (Please note that the Delta Variant includes symptoms similar to the common cold. Please stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of the common cold, shortness of breath, fever, chills, loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.)
  • I will notify Oasis Executive Director Anna Stokes at [email protected] if I develop symptoms of or test positive for COVID within ten days of the program.

I attest and verify that I have full knowledge of the risk involved in physical fitness activities and that I have obtained approval from my physician to participate in same.

I understand that all program fees are nonrefundable except as provided in the Oasis refund policy.

I give permission for The Oasis Institute to photograph or videotape me and to use my name, and image in Oasis materials and publicity. I authorize the use of my name and image in publications produced by The Oasis Institute’s partners and by the media. I agree to be photographed or videotaped by the media for general publication.

I agree to adhere to the Oasis Participant Code of Conduct listed in the Oasis catalog and available at the Oasis center.

Refund Policy

  • Oasis will refund your payment if a class is canceled.
  • Oasis will credit your Oasis account if a class is rescheduled and you notify us at least 48 hours in advance that you cannot attend the rescheduled date.
  • No refund or credit will be given for any other reason.
  • If you are unable to attend a class, you may invite another person to take your place in the class OR, as a courtesy, notify us that you can’t make the class, so we can offer the seat to a fellow Oasis student on the waiting list.
  • Oasis class fees are not prorated.
