Description

Inspired by Australian Indigenous artworks seen at the National Gallery of Art, this class, lead by art educator Martina Sestakova, explores how repetition and abstraction can hold memory, place, and meaning. Through discussion and a meditative writing exercise, you will identify patterns from your own life and create abstract compositions that express personal stories. We will work in watercolors and colored pencils. No prior experience required—everyone is welcome, regardless of skill level. All materials will be provided.
