Description

John Robert Lewis was born in 1940 to a family of sharecroppers and died in 2020 as an acclaimed international leader.  An original Freedom Rider in 1961, he was later elected 19 times as one of Georgia’s Representatives in Congress.  Among the author’s honors is the 2009 Pulitzer for a biography of President Andrew Jackson.  This work concludes with Afterword written by Representative Lewis himself.  Please read the book so you can participate in our structured, facilitated, Zoom discussion.  (Note: Please join the meeting at 3 pm if you would like some assistance using the features of Zoom.  Otherwise, join us at 3:15 pm for the start of our discussion.)
