Mr. Eizenstat will discuss his latest book, which chronicles the major American diplomatic initiatives of the last half-century through the perspectives of those who shaped them. He will share examples from his in-depth study of over 20 cases of American negotiating prowess, from the opening of relations between the US and China to the withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 and the 2023–2025 war between Israel and Hamas.
