This support group is designed for those who have found themselves in a caregiving role for their parent(s) due to aging, illness, memory loss, or other challenges. If you feel overwhelmed by managing your parents' needs and your own responsibilities, you're not alone -- and this group is here to support you. This caregiver group will largely consist of those in their 40s, 50s, and 60s who identify as "adult children" and are caring for a "parent" who's aging. This is an inclusive group -- "parent" can mean any aging loved one (ie. aunt, uncle). You will gain connection with others who truly understand the journey, practical tools and strategies to honor your personal needs while navigating caregiving, and emotional support to manage stress, guilt, and complicated family dynamics. Erica Greenspan is a clinical social worker and psychotherapist with over a decade of experience supporting older adults and their loved ones. Erica specializes in helping families navigate the challenges of neurocognitive disorders such as dementia, MS, and Parkinson’s disease, as well as acute illnesses like cancer. This program is generously supported by the Frederick H. Bowis Community Fund. The group will meet on: May 13, May 27, June 10, June 24, July 7 (Wednesday), July 22, August 5

It is suitable for all types of people including the non-yogi and the experienced yogi. The session is tailored for older adults but suitable for everyone. It includes breathing exercises, playful, but challenging standing yoga poses that improve balance and strength, and lively music. A chair is used for cool down and closing meditation. Ultimately, the main goal is to enjoy yourself!  No class September 21. Wear comfortable clothes that will allow movement and mild stretching and bring a yoga mat and water.
